Using recently developed long life high intensity UV lamps, it can achieve a typical erase time of less than three minutes.
The design reflects great consideration for safety, and consequently its rugged metal case is earthed, and it has an internal mains fuse. The pull out tray activates a cut off switch to prevent the user being exposed to UV light, and the whole unit will switch to stand-by mode after approximately 10 minutes.
A single button operates the timer which can be set to 1,2,3,4,5,7,10, or 20 minutes, and the easily read LED display flashes during countdown until the unit emits an audible beep at the end of the erase cycle. The last time set becomes the default time, until the power is shut off.
The M1 model has a typical capacity of 12 x 32 pin DIL. |
